Smoked Trout Pâté: Substitutions!
If you don’t have smoked trout on hand, try using 8 ounces of another fish. You can use leftover roasted salmon, trout, cod, or halibut. For a less-expensive and quicker-prep option, you could also use canned tuna or salmon. You can also customize the flavors to suit your preferences. Add a few more fresh herbs, or replace the horseradish with a more mild seasoning (such as dijon mustard or a dash of black peppercorn). The key is to experiment with flavors you love to find something absolutely delicious!
How can you Serve this Smoked Trout Pâté?
Try serving the smoked trout pâté in roasted protobello mushrooms, with a few socca crackers or vegetable crudités, or over a Grain-Free Waffle or a Rosemary Biscuit (Always Delicious pg. 203).
